Job Description:

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Santa Monica, LA; for the position of Yoga Instructor at Puppy Sphere. We are looking for yoga instructors that are passionate about yoga, love puppies, and have a warm, bubbly personality. You will lead beginner-friendly yoga classes while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both attendees and puppies! As Yoga Instructor, you will be responsible for 4 yoga classes, of either 35 or 45 minutes each, throughout one day.

This is a contract, on-site role in Santa Monica, LA and weekend availability is a necessity.
Our 45 minute sessions are $50/session (Weekends)
Our 35 minute sessions are $40/session (Weekdays)

Yoga Instructor Responsibilities:

• Lead and instruct engaging beginner yoga flow classes with an emphasis on relaxation and enjoyment.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive and motivating environment that encourages guest participation. 
• Structure classes inline with Puppy Sphere's class format and experience guidelines. 
• Provide clear cueing, guidance and modifications to support a range of fitness levels. 
• Deliver a clear and engaging introduction at the start of each class, outlining what to expect. 
• Communicate clearly and confidently throughout the session to guide guests and create a smooth experience. 
• Hold a strong presence in the room, maintaining energy, flow, and engagement from start to finish.
• Maintain awareness of the overall studio environment, ensuring alignment with Puppy Sphere's experience standards and puppy welfare guidelines throughout the session.
• Collaborate with on-site staff to ensure a seamless overall experience for guests, while maintaining a clear focus on instruction.
• Foster a sense of community and encourage repeat attendance. 
• Share feedback on class flow, guest experience, and overall delivery to support the ongoing development of Puppy Sphere. 
• Be mindful and patient that puppies will be present during practice and attendees will have divided attention to the yoga practice and puppies.

Yoga Instructor Requirements:

• Candidate must be available for at least 1 day per week. 
• Both weekend and weekday availability is a huge plus.
• Candidate must be available to teach x4 sessions per scheduled day.
• Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200 or equivalent).
• Must hold valid Professional Liability Insurance covering fitness instruction. 
• Experience teaching beginner yoga classes preferred.
• Genuine love for animals, particularly puppies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to create a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment.
• Patience and adaptability to handle the playful nature of puppies during classes.
